'Click' remote control is the UK's favourite film gadget ever

More popular than the Light Saber and DeLorean? Really?

The all-powerful remote control from recent Adam Sandler comedy Click has been named the UK's favourite film gadget of all time.

The remote topped the list of film gadgets in a recent survey conducted by LG to tie in with the 81st Academy Awards, gaining a surprisingly impressive 23% of the vote.

Gadget purists will be far more happy to see that the DeLorean from the Back to the Future trilogy and the memory eraser from Men in Black tied for second place with 16%, while James Bond's car (all of them collectively, we presume) came in with 11%.

Surprisingly, the Light Saber from Star Wars, seen by many as the ultimate cool movie gadget, managed just 9% of the vote. It leaves us wondering: is the Star Wars era finally over?

Survey results
1 Click remote control (23%)
2 Back to the Future car/M.I.B. memory eraser (16%)
3 James Bond’s car (11%)
4 Lightsaber from Star Wars (9%)
5 Batman’s Batmobile (8%)
6 James Bond’s watch (with laser-cutting function) (6%)
7 Batman’s utility belt (5%)
8 Inspector Gadget’s Go-Go gadget arms (4%)
