iPhone App of the week: Spoonfed

London's iPhone users need never miss another gig, event or exhibition

In a city the size of London, you can be forgiven for being oblivious to things going on around you. And that's a shame, when you're missing out on events ranging from laugh-a-minute comedy acts to the best music gigs.

Through the almighty power of the iPhone and Spoonfed app you'll become the all-knowing culture vulture. It puts you in the middle of the action with Twitter feeds from venues updating you on what's going on around you and where, including reviews from critics. You can even share your own opinions on these events when you get there.

Its radar feature is a top tool, showing where you are and a number of pinpoints popping up with real-time information on what's going down in your hood. It could be a secret gig, a great pub to make a bee-line for or news that the concert you're heading towards has been cancelled.

Either way, it aims to not leaving you walking around town looking for something to do, only to end up in a Wetherspoons.

This is an altogether much better spoon: it's customisable to suit your tastes, is simple to use and it costs absolutely nothing, so there's no excuse to say you didn't do anything this weekend.
