Note to Sony – if you don't give us some good PS3 news soon we'll be accused of being
Remember how we told you a couple of days ago about how the Microsoft Xbox 360 had outsold the Sony PS3 by three to one in America over the Thanksgiving weekend? Well, now Microsoft is crowing again, only this time its all about Europe.
Apparently November proved to be the biggest sales month in the entire six-year European history of the Xbox brand, with sales up 124% over those of last November.
In fact, the Xbox 360 became the fastest-growing console in Europe for November, with its 124% year-on-year rise comparing with 43% for the Wii, and just 3% for the PS3.
Not content to leave it at that, Microsoft was also keen to point out in its press release today that according to GfK-ChartTrack data, the Xbox 360 has outsold the PS3 across the whole of Europe, with particularly significant gains in France, Spain and Italy, for some reason.
Hmm. Things all seem to be getting way to one-sided in the console world right now. So to paraphrase – horribly – the great Delia Smith: come on Sony; let's be 'aving you!
